Questions for Visit One
newpuppy.vet
You'll forget half your questions once a puppy is licking your face. Bring this and write the answers in.
Bring
- Every record you were given (a phone photo is better than nothing)
- A fresh poop sample, from that morning if you can
- The food bag, or a clear photo of the label
- Small, soft treats he loves
- A leash and collar, or a carrier
Ask, and write the answer
- Where is he in the vaccine series? When is each next visit?
- Which lifestyle vaccines make sense for his life and where we live?
- What's the plan for poop tests and deworming?
- Which heartworm, flea and tick prevention, and how will it change as he grows?
- Can you scan his microchip? Does the number match, and is it in my name?
- How much should he eat, and how will we know he's growing well?
- When can he go out, meet other dogs and start puppy class?
- When should we talk about spay or neuter for him?
- Anything about his breed I should watch for?
- What's your after-hours plan, and which emergency clinic do you use?
- What's the best way to reach you with a question?

General education, not veterinary advice. Your vet's plan for your puppy comes first.
